Paris, Oct. 17, (BNA) Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) held here on Monday an important session of talks with French President, Jacques Chirac.
talks covered a number of causes of joint concern, the latest developments in the occupied territories in the aftermath of Israel's withdrawal from Gaza and parts of the West Bank in addition to President Abbas' expected visit to the United States. Abbas' visit was part of a tour which covers a number of Arab and European sates and the USA. The tour aims at familiarizing the leaders of these countries with developments in Palestine after Israel's withdrawal in addition to ways of pushing the peace process forward and implementing the Road Map.
