Riyadh, Dec. 25 (BNA) The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will participate in the fist session of the transitional Arab parliament, due to be inaugurated in Cairo Tuesday.
The Saudi delegation to the meeting will be led by Dr Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humeid, the Chairman's of the Shoura (consultative) Council.
Dr bin Humeid has underlined the importance of the session in the light of the current international situation, and said it would have a positive impact on the Arab and Muslim causes.
In a statement to SPA, Dr bin Humeid said the participation of the Kingdom in the Arab transitional parliament reflects the Kingdom's positive stand towards the joint Arab work, and said the Kingdom is keen on playing an effective role at Arab, Islamic and international arenas.
'The Kingdom is one of the founders of the Arab league and the UN, and at the same time it has been patronizing the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council.
Moreover, the Kingdom has recently joined the World Trade Organization (WTO), he elaborated.
