Manama, May. 15, (BNA) Chairman of the Shura Council, Dr. Faisal bin Radhi Al Mousawi, chaired today the weekly Shura council meeting which began by endorsing the minutes of the previous meeting.
Then the council discussed the topics on its work agenda which began by reviewing to the response of Shura member, Abdulhassan Ibrahim Buhussain, query to the Minister of Finance, Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, related to the number of Bahrainis and non-Bahrainis working in the monetary sector, along with the number working in executive posts in comparison to Bahrainis.
In this light, the Shura member called for the increase of Bahraini cadres in the monetary sector in addition to supporting more training for this sector in the Kingdom.
Buhussain urged all establishments working in this field towards the Bahrainisation of jobs and creating development plans.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Finance said that percentage of increase in this sector was good and that the government was exerting efforts towards the Bahrainisation of jobs which serves the economic development in the Kingdom.
Then the council discussed the final opinion related to the draft law modifying the Kingdom of Bahrain emblem submitted by Royal decree no.
72 for 2005 which was approved.
The Shura council also discussed the finance and economic committee report related to the draft law on regulating the labour market by Royal decree no.
25 for 2005.
Following the discussion the council voted on the draft law in its initial form and reviewed the government's representative opinion with this regards.
Then the council reviewed that articles of the draft law of which they approved some and postponed the remaining articles for the upcoming meeting for further study.
