Khartoum, May 27, (BNA) Sudanese Energy and Mining Secretary General, Dr. Omar Mohammed Khair, said that Sudan is now capable of continuously producing the amount of oil required for his country's accession to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
In a statement transmitted by Sudanese News Agency, Dr.
Khair, however, explained that the country has to evaluate the benefits and drawbacks it might draw or incur before deciding to join the organization.
Dr.
Khair said all companies wishing to launch oil- excavation ventures in Sudan are indiscriminately welcome provided they comply with the principles and laws of state sovereignty.
