Lebanese refugees begin leaving Syria

Beirut, Aug. 16, (BNA) Thousands of Lebanese who fled to Syria during the Israeli aggression on Lebanon began returning to their villages via border outlets such Masnah and Al Aboudiya helped by the UN Higher Refugees Commission.
The Commission's official in Damascus, Leena Atani, said the refugees returned to their villages carrying the aids presented to them by the Commission. She added in a an interview to Radio Sawa that the Commission was coordinating with its Beirut-based Office and the Syrian Red Crescent to ease the return of the displaced Lebanese putting around 20 buses at their disposal. Returning refugees were supplied with water, light food and blankets for use on their way home, she explained.
