Manama, Jan. 25 (BNA) – Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Dr. Isam Abdullah Fakhro has lauded the initiatives aiming to strengthen Bahraini Syrian ties, mainly among businessmen, affirming interest in reviving the joint Bahraini Syrian Bank.
Dr. Fakhro also welcomed the upcoming joint economic gathering, scheduled for next April in Manama, urging local businessmen to attend the event in order to learn about the available investment opportunities in Syria. This came as Dr. Fakhro received in Manama today Syrian Ambassador to Bahrain Slaiman Adel Sorrah and underlined to him the need for both countries to enhance trade volume in light of the availability of commercial potentials in both countries. The BCCI Chairman also called in businessmen of both countries to engage into new alliances and launch joint ventures. A number of BCCI members attended the meeting. MTQ
