Washington, Feb. 4, (BNA)—Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, who is currently visiting the USA, discussed today strong cooperation between both countries to boost security in the Gulf region with ambassador Dennis Ross, the US President's Special Assistant and Senior Director for the Central Region of the National Security Council.
Both sides reviewed the regional situation and efforts exerted to maintain peace and stability. Shaikh Khalid hailed Ross' instrumental role in promoting regional peace and security voicing the kingdom's willingness to fully cooperate with him. He also praised partnership between the USA and Gulf countries which he described as vital for the common benefit of all. AOQ
