Tripoli, March 24, (BNA) Libyan Revolution Leader, Colonel Muammar al Qadhafi, received yesterday, Chairman of Hamas' political office, Khalid Mish'al and his accompanying delegation who briefed the colonel on the latest developments in the Palestinian occupied territories.
Misha'al gave Qadhafi a comprehensive account of the Palestinian activities and initiatives in the light of Hamas' victory in the legislative elections and briefed him on the atrocities unabashedly inflicted by the Israeli forces on the Palestinian people. Misha'al asserted the Palestinian people's appreciation of the Libyan leader and people's unwavering stances in supporting the Palestinian cause while Qadhafi pledged Libya's continued back-up to the Palestinian people and respect of their will. Meanwhile, Libyan Secretary for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation. Abd al-Rahman Shalgam, met Misha'al and reviewed with him international attitudes vis-à-vis Hamas the upcoming Arab Summit's agenda. Following the meeting, Shalgam said that Misha'al's visit to Tripoli focused on bilateral consultations and Hamas' attitudes, asserted his country's complete support to Hamas.
