HM the King attends sandhurst graduation ceremony

London, Aug. 11, (BNA) HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa attended the royal parade held in London on Friday to mark graduation of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa from Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

On arrival to the premises, HM the King was welcomed by Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Commander, Major General PTC Pearson who welcomed HM to the graduation ceremony. Then, HM the king headed to the Military field where he attended a military parade and performance of Bahrain's National Anthem. At the outset of the military show, prizes were distributed to the outstanding students where Shaikh Nasser, who is the youngest of the graduates, was granted King Hossein Distinction Award. It is worth noting that other countries presented awards at Sndhurst. For instance, Shaikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was granted the Distinction Award of the State of Kuwait presented in the name of former Kuwaiti Defence Minister, Shaikh Salem Sabah Al Salem and British Student Marcel Wright was granted the Award of the Kingdom of Bahrain for best magazine. At the end of the ceremony, HM the King headed to the Hall of the Indian Army at the old building of Sandhurst Academy where he was greeted by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and other graduates and guests. On his part, HM the King congratulated Shaikh Nasser on his graduation from Sandhurst Academy with distinction wishing him every future success. On the occasion, HM the King expressed pride and honor over Keenness of Bahraini youth to excel and show high levels of creativity in all academic and military fields to be able to serve the kingdom in light of its encouragement for the youth that were always regarded the main pillars of all development and progress. Meantime, HM the King hailed the deep-rooted Royal Military Academy Sandhurst which prepares well-qualified military cardres wishing it further advancement.
